Diane?

Did anyone catch the Diane Rehm Show today? I love Diane Rehm. She always seems to be well-researched on the areas she is presenting and she questions both sides. I feel that she is usually balanced and fair. However, I didn't feel that fairness today when she interviewed Wendy Shalit, author of Girls Gone Mild.
This is purely my opinion and would love to hear what others think. If you missed it, you can listen to it on her website.

Yes, I thought Rehm was a complete embarassment. Rehm let Shalit's talking points go wholly unchallenged.

Rehm didn't say a word when Shalit made outrageous claims against librarians (the American Library Association promotes bestiality), teachers (students ought to appear in Girls Gone Wild), and parents (daughters are encouraged to lose their virginity).

A real journalist would have questioned Shalit's claims - having her prove that these incidents about parents, teachers, and librarians - if not altogether fradulent - were EXTREMELY isolated and therefore a dishonest way for Shalit to "prove" a point.
